Yarra Valley

The Yarra Valley is reknowned for it's fabulous wine, gourmet foods and magnificent scenery and it's all within an hours drive from Victoria's capital Melbourne. 

Offering some of the best scenery in country Victoria the Yarra Valley offers a backdrop of blue ranges, undulating hills quilted with wineries, and green valleys with clear flowing rivers.

Over 50 wineries produce quality sparkling and chardonnay wines, complex pinot noir and rich cabernet sauvignon, and many more. Many wineries offer cellar door tastings and sales. Try the food as they can be as satisfying as the wine and you won't beat the location for a restaurant located in a magnificent vineyard.

There is so much to do in the Yarra Vally.  Try a dawn hot-air balloon and float above the scenic landscape before gently landing for a i breakfast of sparkling wine and local produce in a wonderful winery. Take in the Healesville Sanctuary wildlife park to view Australian birds and animals including platypus, koalas, Tasmanian devils, and echidnas.  There is always something on in the Yarra Valley and annual events include the annual Grape Grazing Day, when over 20 wineries combine to host a summer celebration of wine, food and outdoor musical performances.
